Scissor Lift Operation
A scissor lift is one of the most common kinds of aerial lifts used in manufacturing, construction and industrial sites. As with other types of heavy machinery, proper training and appropriate knowledge regarding the safe use of scissor lifts is greatly needed. Tip-over accidents are the most common risks involved when using this kind of aerial lift. In fact, three-quarters of scissor lift tip-over have resulted to fall deaths, while other fall accidents occurred during the removal of the guardrails or chains.

Before starting the operation, it is a must to check the slope of the floor since a steep ground may cause the lift not to function properly. Look for potential site hazards like bumps, debris, overhead power lines, holes and drop-offs.
